Project climate change is a website where users can learn what climate change is and how to combat it. Our inspiration was to teach people about climate change and why it is important to be informed. It helps bring awareness in an appeasing to look at and informative way. Our website is separated in sections that first inform the user what climate change is. Then it prompts the user to continue their own research through provided links. After users can use the tips on the website to reduce their carbon footprint in their own lives.
Sofia Stuck is a Sophmore at Saint Francis High School Saramento. She is in the Society of Women Engineers and Webtoon clubs. Sofia did a computer graphics class Freshman year, and is currently in computer science discoveries. Sofia likes to ski, draw digitaly, sing, and play ivdeo games. She has had so much fun collaborating and made a new friend, and this wouldn't have been possible without all of the encouragement from her wonderful technology teacher Mr. Chamberlain and Adahacks.
Leslie is a Junior at Saint Francis High School Mountain View. At Saint Francis Leslie is part of TEDxSaintFrancis HS, Girls Who Code, Latino Student Union, and she is a Saint Francis Family Club mentor. Outside of school Leslie is part of Google’s Code Next Connect, and Game Design courses but she also loves to dance. This is Leslie’s first hackathon and she is excited to meet more people who are passionate about STEM.
Sumeda is a Junior at Santiago High School. At Santiago, Sumeda is the founder and co-president of Project Planet, an environmental club dedicated to raising awareness about varying issues. Outside of school, Sumeda is the Director of Social Media at a youth-led non profit called "GirlsCodeIt."She's also a part of another nonprofit, "Coding4Kids", that aims to educate lower-income student on computer science. This was Sumeda's first hackathon and she's excited to learn more about computer science and meet individuals with similar interests about STEM.
